Price
quotes for additional figures on the same
canvas are available upon request. Framing
and shipping are in addition to the fees listed above.
A deposit of 1/3 will be due in advance. The
balance is due at completion of commission and
acceptance by the client. If the client
rejects the portrait, the deposit will be
refunded and the
portrait will remain with me.
THE OIL PORTRAIT
CREATION
If plausible, the first meeting can be
either at the home of the subject or at the
artist's studio. The basic composition, size,
pose, format, type of clothing, tone,
background, and lighting are all considered. A
series of digital photographs will be taken.
The photographs will be studied and a final
decision made as to pose and tone of the
painting. If necessary, additional photographs
can be taken at a second photo shoot.
Upon completion of the painting and acceptance
by the client, the portrait will be delivered.
On the occasion that the subject is not
available (as in a posthumous portrait), the
portrait can be created using available
photographs.
